Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What types of beers will I get to taste? Will we be drinking draft beers?
A: You will taste a selection of local craft beers in this experience, ensuring you come out of the course with a true understanding of the diversity of beers available on the market today.

Q: What is a BJCP Beer Judge
A: The BJCP is an internationally recognised beer education program to recognise and develop professional beer judges who can promote a standardised method and process for beer evaluation. The organisation is based in US, where they certify and rank beer judges through an examination and monitoring process, sanction competitions, and provide educational resources for current and future judges. Your instructors are some of the few in Hong Kong who have undergone the rigorous training (and tasting) involved, and they can’t wait to share their knowledge with you!

Nice relaxing afternoon trying a lot of different beers and learning about the craft beer industry in HK. The organizers were very knowledgeable about everything and were able to answer a lot of questions, though I felt the session could have been more structured. We also got birthday coupons which was a nice surprise! Would definitely recommend this for people who love beer, as well as the store as a place to pick up beers and raw ingredients to make the beers.
