Dim Sum are small dishes the Cantonese usually eat for breakfast or lunch. Good dim sum showcases colour, fragrance and taste in small packages of bite sized food, and the craft of making dim sum can be a real labour of love!

This 2-hour class includes an introduction to Hong Kong food culture, a cooking session and a tasting session. We’ll have you elbow deep in action during the cooking session, you will learn how to handle fresh ingredients and traditional Chinese cooking methods like dough-rolling, pan frying and steam frying. Your professional instructor will guide you step by step and you can choose to make one of the following five dim sum dishes:

• Hong Kong Street Food: Fish Dumplings and Stuffed Vegetables
• Dumplings: Steamed Crystal Dumplings and Pan - fried Dumplings
• Shanghainese Favourites: Fried Pork Bun and Homemade Noodles
• Chinese New Year Cakes: Original Turnip Cake and Vegan Turnip Cake
• Chinese Desserts: Beancurd Pudding and Glutinous Rice Dumplings (mochi)
