What’s more thirst quenching than tasting your own homebrew beer! Roll up your sleeves and brew your own now!
Hong Kong’s beer culture is definitely hitting its stride with a surge of beer festivals and craft beers popping up on restaurant menus. Ever thought of brewing your own beer at home? It’s time to roll up your sleeves and start making some great beer!
This three-hour workshop is a hands-on crash course on how to brew beer at home. You will learn about the 4 basic elements of beer – water, grains, hops and yeast – as well as the 6 basic steps of brewing – sanitizing, mashing, sparging, boiling, fermentation and bottling. Throughout the experience, your instructors will introduce you to beer appreciation and walk you through the history of beer, basic beer styles, and even matching beer glasses. By the end of this session, you will be able to distinguish the taste between an American Adjunct Lager and a Belgian Tripel! You will learn how brewers create aromas, colors, flavors and textures by transforming a few simple commodities into an exquisite work of its own.
The experience doesn’t end there! You will get to bring home the entire brew kit (size: 12” x 6” x 6”). For the next two weeks, you will be watching the yeast transforming the ordinary sugar liquid to your own tasty great beer. You will also have the fun of bottling the beer and making your own beer labels. In another week, you can go ahead and crack off that bottle cap, take a sip and “mm… ahhh…”– that’s what your homebrew beer tastes like!
You will produce a gallon of beer, which is enough to fill 6-8 bottles. You will also get to keep the beer brewing kit, so once you have learned the basics, you can start planning your next homebrew. We will make a seasoned home brewer out of you!

Valuable lesson on beer brewing, knowledgeable instructor with interested experience.
This experience was a gift from my wife for my 40th birthday, I took a beer loving friend (not my wife!).
Really great experience, tried a few good beers (and some bad!) and most importantly I learnt how to brew my own.
Instructor was very knowledgeable, and the experience was a lot of fun. Definitely recommend this for the beer enthusiast.
Nice experience. The "teacher" gives us good knowledge about beers. We also had the opportunity to try a lot of different kind of beers.
I bought this experience for my fiancé as a birthday gift as he loves beer and has always wanted to try to make his own. The class was great, our instructor was engaging and knowledgeable and went through each step in detail whilst also letting us sample numerous different beers throughout the session. We have now come away with a growler full of our own brew which we can't wait to try once it's ready!!! Would definitely recommend :)
The whole experience was very well organised.
Excellent equipment and good time management.
Chris our instructor was so knowledgeable and spoke very clearly and freely. Good sense of humor and made everyone feel comfortable.
We got to taste a few different beers and I felt very involved in my own brewing experience.
Loved it.
Me and my husband had a great time in this experience. We learned so much about beer. I will definitely recommend to sign up this experience.
It was a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would specially recommend this experience to all beer enthusiasts.
It was a great workshop in learning about beer while brewing the beer from step 1.
It was a great experience for this lesson and got knowledge how to make craft beer.
Both my husband and I enjoyed tasting several different kinds of beer while we were brewing.
I got the experience as a gift from my wife. It was a great afternoon and has kicked off a whole new hobby for me!
A great experience. Chris the brewmaster was very knowledgable and interesting. The session was well planned and clearly instructed.
We enjoyed this experience, particularly the social side of the activity: the staff were relaxed and friendly but it was the interaction with the other participants which made it great fun.
I bought this for my bfs birthday. He really enjoyed it! The class is actually very scientific and technical, i didnt get it completely. Instructor was very passionate n knowledgeable abt beer. He offered diff types of beer during the class. Would definitely recommend it!
Quite interesting and is a good chance to taste different kind of beers
Thanks guys!
It was definitely an eye-opening experience. My feedback would be the structure of the class - besides one or two people, most of the attendees were not knowledgeable about beer and beer making and were probably not there so that they could eventually go into that industry. It seemed like the session was a bit too lecture-based as we had to wait for things to boil, which meant there was less interactive fun learning. We ended up sitting there listening to the chemistry of beer making.
Would also have been good to get some water and snacks to balance out the beer we were drinking at 11am in the morning! It was a great session nonetheless :)
I bought this for my husband's birthday and would highly recommend for those men who are hard to buy for ! This is a unique and fun thing to do together. Chris, our instructor, was very knowledgable, enthusiastic and professional. Everything was well set up and easy for a beginner. The experience was made more lively by the craft beer tasting to help us understand the differences and science behind brewing. A great gift !
Found this experience from Spoilt website. Think its quite fun, very informative. Its cool to bring home a gallon of beer and seeing the yeast working on flementation process at home!
Received this amazing experience gift from my girlfriend. It is packed full with information and after going on this course, I feel I can confidently brew my own beer at home. To make the most out of this experience, make sure you do some background reading before attending!
Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the subject and I had a lot of fun making the beers as well as tasting different styles during the process. Overall very enjoyable and highly recommended.
It was a very informative workshop! Angus and Belle went into so much detail about all the different ingredients and processes and how they work together to make beer. I ended up taking lots of notes since it was just so interesting! Yet, the actual process was so much easier than I thought it would be. Definitely something every beer lover should try, even if just to know what you've been drinking!
Really interesting experience especially for people who like beer and the science of food. It was quite amazing to see all the processes that go into brewing beer. Chris was very knowledgeable and able to field all sorts of questions we had about beer. I've since learnt so much more about different beer styles - traditional ales, lager, even pizza flavoured beer! I can't wait to try our beer once it's done fermenting.
