Private DJ Class

Take your love for electronic dance music - EDM (or your Child’s!) to a whole new level by diving into the art of DJing. Learn on the latest professional club grade DJ equipment. Explore beat matching, effects, and EQ techniques while selecting from the huge repertoire of music. Finally use your newly acquired DJ Skills to make your very own DJ Mix to take home!

Your instructor for the 1.5-hour hands-on introductory DJ class is a highly qualified professional. With years of DJing experience under their belt, spinning at some of the top clubs in Hong Kong such as Fly, Drop, Gecko, Volar, Ozone, Boujis and PLAY, as well as performing at some of Hong Kong’s hottest events and music festivals (Clockenflap, Coachella and Beertopia). Under their expert guidance, you will:

• Be introduced to club-grade DJ equipment setup and operation mixer
• How to count beats and recognize tempos (BPM)
• Learn the fundamentals of beat-matching, basic mixing, EQ’ing & blending effects
• Create your own DJ mix and take it home

This Experience Voucher is valid for 1 person in a private session. Available for two or for groups for an additional cost of $1200 per guest. The maximum number is 8 people.

Bookings can be made on any day, during the following times:

• Monday - Friday: 10:00am - 10:00pm
• Saturday: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and are subject to availability.

Q: Can I bring my own music to mix?
A: It’s better if beginners stick to using the music provided by their instructors because you must know how and where to source the right format and quality of music files needed for DJing.

Q: I’m not a beginner, but can I still do this experience and learn more advanced techniques?
A: If you are not a beginner, or have some knowledge about DJing, please let us know in the booking form. The instructors can tailor the lesson based on your skill level or objective- whether it be a “refresher” course or an advanced music theory lesson.

Q: Can my friend or child join me for this class?
A: Absolutely! Parent and Child sessions are always extremely fun and a great bonding activity. A session with your friend is also a great way to hang out. They can join at an additional cost of $1200 per person.
