As the heart of Hong Kong city, the Central district has been developing under British colonial ruling since 1841. The city grew rapidly under British rule, in what was a fishing community to a metropolis in the early 20th century. Extensive reclamations and development projects were carried out during different periods. Although the outlook of Hong Kong is ever changing, many historical buildings and structures still survive in Central district. This Hong Kong heritage walk takes you around the historic buildings that are nestled amid stunning skyscrapers. Our expert guide will explain what are the changes have taken place, and how the ancient art of feng shui influences modern architecture design. You will see the architecture from well-known architects such as Lord Norman Foster, IM Pei and Kohn Pedersen Fox, the street names that reveal the interesting history of Hong Kong.

This experience takes place outdoors and may have to be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather conditions, as assessed on a case by case basis. If the experience needs to be rescheduled, the instructor will inform all participants via phone call of the change. As a reference, a red or black rainstorm warning or typhoon signal no. 3 or above would be unsuitable for walking experiences. Please note that the summer weather can also be very taxing.
