Join us for an interactive artisan pasta making class, where you’ll learn how to make fresh pasta, a mainstay of Italian cuisine! In this 3 hour dinner party experience, Executive Chef Michael Erlik will teach you three pasta recipes, including three gourmet pasta sauces to round out the dish. End the evening dining on your homemade pasta, and as the Italians are wont to do, delighting in good food, good wine and good conversation!
Complimentary Prosecco & fine canapés will be served upon arrival. Chef Michael will begin with a demonstration on how to make fresh pasta dough from scratch and how to use a pasta machine. After the demonstration, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start kneading. Working in groups, you will make three types of pasta, including:
- Ricotta & Parmesan Tortellini, with Sauteed Arugula and Sun Dried Tomatoes
- Free Range Chicken & Basil Ravioli, with Garlic Confit Cream
- Winter Truffle Tagliatelle, with Sauteed Forest Mushrooms, Grana Padana
You will knead, cut and shape the dough for each type, and prepare the fillings for the pansotti and tortellini. Next, you will prepare the wonderful gourmet sauces to go with your pasta. You will use the finest imported ingredients to create three pasta sauces, brimming with flavour. Throughout the experience, you will be learning techniques you can use at home to make your own homemade pasta.
At the end of the evening, pop open several bottles of wine and get ready to taste your creations. Cook the various pastas “al dente” for the best bite and pair with their respective sauces. Finish with dessert prepared by Chef Michael and coffee and tea.
