In this Korean Bulgogi and Banchan Cooking Class, learn to make Korean grilled beef and the famous Korean side dishes!

In this 3-hour experience, you will start by making 5 types of Korean side dishes. Known as banchan in Korean, these small dishes are served along with cooked rice in Korean cuisine. These side dishes are set in the middle of the table for people to share family style.

Your chef instructor will introduce you to Korean dining culture and the traditional techniques to make side dishes before you get your hands on the ingredients. The 5 types of Korean side dishes include pickled radish (Mu Saengchae), spicy cucumber salad (Oi Muchim), marinated cabbage (Baechu Namul), shiitake mushroom sautee (Pyogo Buseot Bokkeum) as well as lotus root braised in soy sauce (Yeonkeun Jorim). These are common side dishes that Koreans would eat in their meals with their main dishes.

Next, you will get a cooking demonstration on how to make Bulgogi, Korean grilled beef. Bulgogi, literally translated as “fire beef”, is a popular dish in Korean cuisine, made of thin, marinated slices of beef.

At the end of your cooking class, you will be able to sit down and enjoy an authentic homemade Korean feast of banchan and bulgogi.

 

Number of People

This Experience Voucher is valid for 4 people in a private session.

Additional guests may join at an additional cost of $700 per person, up to a maximum of 18 people.

This experience lasts for 3 hours.

Bookings are available anytime from Monday to Sunday.

Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance and are subject to availability.
