Chinese Fan Painting Experience for Two

Explore the beauty of Chinese art in this condensed 2.5 hour Chinese Fan Painting workshop designed for beginners!! Come and learn basic Chinese ink painting techniques, and be guided step-by-step to create a unique Chinese silk fan.

Our experienced instructor and artist will first give you an introduction to the essence of traditional Chinese painting and the equipment involved. She will show you the techniques and skills in using Chinese ink and colours to create a Chinese artifact.

Then, it’s time for you to practise and create your silk fans! Relax and focus on creating your Chinese hand fan with free flow of freshly-brewed Chinese tea. You will learn how to paint typical Chinese art motifs, such as bamboos and have them come alive in ink or colors on a silk fan.

At the end of the experience, take home an elegant Chinese fan.

What to Wear
Participants are recommended to wear casual wear that you are not afraid to stain. Aprons will be provided.

Suitability
This experience is suitable for people aged 12 or above. Participants who have no prior painting experience are welcome.
